I own the small and medium TRNK Hat Boxes and love them so much I absolutely had to complete the trio. I’ve used both the small and medium as carry-on luggage and received several compliments. A few fellow travelers who use soft hat boxes are now headed to CalPak’s site for the added protection from these cases. This large size seems too big to carry on, so I can only assume it would need to be checked (but I’m not 100% sure). I purchased it to use as a weekender when traveling by car. I have other suitcases but find these hat boxes a fun alternative to the usual square and rectangular luggage.

I bought this to protect my fabulous hat for the Kentucky Derby. The luggage is sturdy, large enough for my oversized hat, and retro stylish. I’m hoping I won’t have any trouble carrying it on the plane since I’m not comfortable that this would care well with baggage handlers over time. I love it!

I recommend purchasing the small or medium size hat box. I purchased the large hat box and regretted not getting a smaller size. It’s wider than a carry on suitcase so I don’t think It could fit in an overhead as a carryon. Also It is so big and wide I felt It needed wheels on It to make It manageable to walk through an airport with. Awful experience lugging It through customs with only a shoulder strap.
