Luka Soft-Sided Mini Carry-On Luggage

This bag is well made and durable. I've taken it on eight flights so far, and will be taking it international in a couple of months. The wheels spin fast and stick out a bit, so watch your step if you have it in front of you when walking down the airplane aisle. One other thing would be to double check the dimensions of the laptop pocket . It was a bit too small to hold mine (HP 15" screen). The laptop does fit in the bag, just not in the pocket designed for it. I bought a laptop sleeve and that works just fine. I use the padded pocket for my other devices. One more thing, double check the dimensions of the space under the seats for your flight. I was on an AA flight with tiny overhead bins and just as tiny under seat space. The Luca fit sideways in the overhead, but it was a neat thing.

I love this little carry-on! It’s great for short trips. I recently started flying with Frontier and finally got to put this baby to the test. It fit in the infamous luggage measuring template. Barely, but it fit as long as you put it in on its side with the wheels facing to the left or right. And, as long as you don’t overstuff the inside. It fit with zero issues under the seat in front of me. It’s a great option if you want to save on baggage fees with Frontier or Spirit! Prior to that, I had been using it for short, 1-2 day/overnight trips and it works perfectly for that. It’s much more spacious than it looks!

Pros: Top open/entry zipper makes it easy to pack a little more without having anything shift around and it makes it a breeze to take out anything you need at the airport, without having to sprawl it out on the ground for everyone to see. It’s spacious, lightweight, stylish and has tons of interior pockets for storage and organization.

Cons: The handle does feel a little flimsy as other reviews suggest. The wheels tend to want to roll in a certain path, so it causes some strain on my wrist and forearm. (Almost the same way some shopping carts at the grocery store only want to roll in a certain direction). However, neither of those two cons are a dealbreaker for me.

I gave 5 stars because I’m overall extremely happy with this bag. I was concerned that the soft pink color wouldn’t travel well but I’ve taken this little gem through several airports already and it’s better than I expected. Yes, it picks up dirt - that’s life on the road - but the nylon fabric wipes down easily with a damp cloth. I carry my 15” laptop/tech gear/sweater or jacket/TSA approved liquids in the case. Sometimes I throw in my knitting as well! I could fit more, but I like to keep the weight down so I can easily carry it if I need to. The wheels roll nicely but I do wish the telescoping handle was a bit more sturdy. I found myself fumbling with it on the first trip, but after a few trips, it doesn’t bother me so much anymore. I also wish there was just a little more room for the laptop - it’s a tight fit. The little square pocket on the side is great for keys, receipts, or anything you want to access quickly without opening the main compartment. I bought this to take on the train for a more regular commute, but it has become a faithful companion for air travel as well. It fits nicely in the overhead bins even on the smaller commuter planes. I could slide it under my seat but that space is reserved my tote bag. Save your back and use this little roller bag to travel in comfort and style! Highly recommended.

I bought this because I frequently travel nationally and internationally for work and wanted a bag that I could fit under some seats. The Luka is chic for airport straight to meetings and it fits my small laptop perfectly in the laptop sleeve. I can pack three days worth of clothes but it does require some Tetris. When I don't want anything on my shoulder I pack flat to the back my Fjallraven foldable tote pack and take that out the rest of the trip as a backpack

Knocked off one point for: the wobbly handle as some other reviewers have mentioned, some loose strings that don't seem structural but aesthetically I had to trim, one clasp inside that doesn't seem to fully click.

Fits under most Delta seats but not United.
