In 2016, I have had multiple trips where I had to travel not only via plane, but also long car rides. I knew that I needed to stay active during my trips; otherwise, I would fall off my routine and revert to my old habits. Being a personal trainer, most people think that I am in the gym working out all of the time- that is not true. Haha! I enjoy the gym, but I also love staying active and doing things outside of the gym.
The exercises in the video you see are just a few of my favorite that can be done anywhere and are especially handy while traveling! These 7 exercises done altogether will give you a full body workout because they each target a specific body part, some targeting multiple body parts.
I would recommend doing 10-15 reps each and a total of 3 rounds at the minimum. The workout will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on how fast you go and how long you jog for. I always recommend to my clients to take their time with their exercises and to practice proper form.

A few other tips that I have for those staying active while traveling:
- Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water.
- Stretch. If you have a long flight or car ride, put a timer on your phone every hour to get up and stretch your body so that it will not stiffen up. You'll also feel less tired because you're not sitting for multiple hours at a time.
- Pack healthy snacks. This way you'll always have something to eat in between your meals, especially if you are on the go. It will also save you money because certain cities are more expensive to eat in while traveling. Granola bars, fruit, and mixed nuts are some of my favorite.
